REGULAR MEETING                                                                                                           SEPT. 20, 2004
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING                                                                                                  6:30 P. M.

First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. with the following in attendance:  Selectmen Patton and S. & J. Lewis.  Selectman Blessington was absent.  First Selectman Eldredge led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF 9/13/04.
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  2 YES (ELDREDGE & PATTON)    0  NO

PRESENT TO SPEAK – No one.

CORRESPONDENCE
A list of correspondence was available at the meeting and in the Selectman’s office.

PUBLIC WORKS
First Selectman Eldredge reported that they are stone chipping.  Lynn is meeting with Karl Acimovic on Tues. for the drainage situation, due to the rain, at the new Senior Center.  Public Works will help with the move from the old to the new Senior Center.

AWARD CONTRACT FOR TOWN HALL ROOF
4 bids were received, ranging from $14,680 to $16,582.  Complete Renovations, LLC was the low bidder for  $14,680.00.    
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR THE TOWN HALL ROOF TO COMPLETE RENOVATIONS, LLC FOR $14,680.00 INCLUDING RIDGE VENTS AS PER THEIR BID.
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  2 YES (ELDREDGE & PATTON)    0  NO

CT FOREST & PK. ASSOC./TOWN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
First Selectman Eldredge commented that we sent back the draft Memorandum of Understanding to Adam Moore with changes that we plan to encumber the deed, the price is $250,000 and the sale must be before April 30, 2005.  The title will be conveyed by Quit Claim deed, the Town will not supply an A-2 survey and will provide any/all descriptions or maps conveyed to the Town by Mr. North.

TAX REFUNDS
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $638.08 TO CHASE MAN AUTO FIN CORP.
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  2 YES (ELDREDGE & PATTON)    0  NO

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $52.76 TO TINA M. CHROMEY.         
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  2 YES (ELDREDGE & PATTON)    0  NO

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $13.62 TO M. OR D. LARSON.        
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  2 YES (ELDREDGE & PATTON)    0  NO

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $30.96 TO M. OR D. LARSON.        
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $33.44 TO M. OR D. LARSON.

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE A TAX REFUND OF $10.65 TO R. OR S. RYAN.

GOOD & WELFARE
Selectman Patton asked if First Selectman Eldredge met with the 2 Fire Chiefs yet?  First Selectman Eldredge commented that they have not scheduled a meeting yet.

SELECTMAN PATTON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:37 P.M.
First Selectman Eldredge seconded the motion.
